For me it is about food. Call me a bad mother, but I just can't obsess about every single that that passes my kids' lips. I'll go crazy. My kids are 8 and 10, so I am a part of the old "wave". If I tell other parents that we are having an in home birthday party or only one or two after school activities a week I feel very judged.
