Last week we made our yearly trip to see our sister families in Gray, Louisiana. Evevn in the 100 degree heat we had a terrific time with kids making flower pots, painting self- portraits, going bowling and talking together. We were greeted by the kids with painted hats, signs, and banners welcoming Soho Parenting back. I am sure that the most important gift we bring is our consistency in returning.
On this 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina they have seen volunteers come and go, funds promised, and even their gulf poisoned with oil. So even what we may consider a small trip with some art supplies means so much to these families. We hope you will continue to help us provide afterschool art for these kids and we are indebted to those of you who have contributed. A little means a lot.
